Really humbled to learn that the drawing “Drawn to the Light” has been accepted as one of 46 finalists of over 400 entries for the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing!
The Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize is an annual exhibition of drawings from all over Australia, run by PLC Sydney in honour of its past art teacher Adelaide Perry. The exhibition opens at the end of February at the Adelaide Perry Gallery in Croydon, Sydney.
We are very happy to have the drawing “The Flight of the Bogong Moths” chosen as a finalist in the
Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art 2021.
This exhibition will be held at Montsalvat’s Barn Gallery, 7 Hillcrest Avenue, Eltham from Friday 7th May to Thursday 1st July,2021, and promises to be beautiful.
Prints of this drawing will be available through the website.
Thank you to those who follow our blog, and Happy Christmas.
Our blog may be a little slow or erratic for the next few months as we are delighted to be expecting another baby/grandbaby, very soon!
This month I have the belated news that the drawing “Fulminant” was equal first winner of the ACMD St Vincent’s Hospital Art Prize, 2019.
The drawing is of the effects of fulminant infection on the various organs of the body and was created at the insistence of my friend Ray when he was dying of fulminant infection last year.
Unfortunately, he did not live to see the drawing win, but he was vitally interested in the progress of its creation and gratified with the final result.
Miss you Ray.
